L&#8217;alcalde, Jes\u00fas Ros, acompanyat de diversos membres de l\u2019equip de govern, va acudir a la jornada inaugural del congr\u00e9s per a donar la benvinguda als participants provinents de tot el m\u00f3n, entre ells l\u2019astronauta espanyol Pedro Duque. A m\u00e9s, l&#8217;alcalde va voler donar les gr\u00e0cies als organitzadors per \u201cconvertir Torrent durant uns dies en la capital de la teledetecci\u00f3, en una refer\u00e8ncia per al treball en l\u2019\u00e0mbit del medi ambient i la tecnologia\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El catedr\u00e0tic torrent\u00ed i director de la Unitat de Canvi Global i president del congr\u00e9s, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Sobrino, va pronunciar el discurs inaugural, amb el qual donava pas als congressistes. Durant estes cinc jornades, en representaci\u00f3 de les comunitats i ag\u00e8ncies cient\u00edfiques i espacials m\u00e9s importants del m\u00f3n, com la NASA o l&#8217;Ag\u00e8ncia Espacial Europea, es posaran en com\u00fa els desenvolupaments metodol\u00f2gics de teledetecci\u00f3, es debatr\u00e0 i s\u2019intercanviaran experi\u00e8ncies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El congr\u00e9s acabar\u00e0 amb una sessi\u00f3 de conclusi\u00f3 general preparada pels presidents i participants de cada per\u00edode de sessions.
